Sky Sports

We're a rugby loving household so this year's six nations is a much watch. Terrestrial tv has it, Sky tv does not. For some reason Sky sports got pipped to the post and I have to listen to Eddie Butler doing commentary on BBC.

The reason terrestrial tv is picking up the big sporting events is obvious and out there. They lead to larger audiences. But here's the rub. I pay a lot less for my terrestrial tv license than I do for my sky sports package, all things considered.

Where then is the public pressure for Sky to bid more for these events? Sky offers better sports coverage. Better multiscreen services, better commentary. And devotes more time to the events. Plus I already paid a huge Sky subscription.

During the time the six nations has been on I've noticed also that the Sky premier coverage has tailed off. It's been hard to see good rugby on Sky sports.
